Overnight Power Oats

Crazy to think it is already March but that means it is National Nutrition Month! 

To start off your morning with these easy, no-cook, nutrient packed oats, will power you through your morning feeling wonderful. I often make it in mason jars because it makes it perfect for a grab-and-go breakfast after hitting the gym in the morning.

Oats are high in Protein, Fiber and Calcium which makes it perfect for starting your day. By adding Chia seeds (great source of Omega-3’s), nuts (protein and healthy fats), berries (vitamins, antioxidants) and cinnamon (anti-inflammatory) it creates the ultimate powerhouse for breakfast!

Blueberry-Walnut-Overnight-Oats

Ingredients: 

  • 1/2 Cup Rolled Oats
  • 1 Cup water (doesn’t need to be hot)
  • 2 Tbsp Chia Seeds
  • 1 Tbsp Cinnamon
  • 1/4 Cup Slivered Almonds
  • 1/2 Cup Berries(blueberries, blackberries, raspberries)

Directions: 

Add all of the ingredients into a mason jar, put the top on and shake it a few times. Let it sit overnight in the fridge, Enjoy!
